Bioplastics magazine - Native starch to Bioplastics

Together with Biotec, one of Novidon's customers, Novidon published an article in the Bioplastics Magazine issue 03-2016 about how native potato starch of Novidon is converted by Biotec into high quality bioplastics. More and more bioplastics are made of TPS from potato starch. About 100,000 tonnes per year of side stream starch could be generated in Europe as co-products of the potato converting industry. More than 50% of that amount is being collected by Novidon and converted into technical grades for different applications and bioplastics is one of them.
